What Is Astrology?
Birth chart Reading
Astrology is the study of how the movement of the planets and celestial bodies relates to life on Earth. It’s based on the understanding that we are part of a larger rhythm - one that links our inner world with the patterns and cycles unfolding in nature and the cosmos.
Most people are familiar with astrology in the context of 'zodiac sign' or 'horoscope', which is based off the suns position at the time of birth. However, true astrology is chart which is essentially a map of where the planets, Sun, and Moon were at the exact moment and location of your birth. This map reveals your emotional nature, behavioural patterns, physical tendencies, relational style, career direction, and much more. But astrology isn’t limited to births - it can also be used to understand events, relationships, decisions, launches, and turning points, based on the planetary placements at the time they occurred.
Astrology is not a belief system or a religion. It’s a symbolic language that’s been observed, refined, and practised for thousands of years. From ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Persia, India, and China, to modern Western and Eastern systems, astrology has remained a consistent tool for understanding the link between the sky and life on Earth.
It’s not considered a science in the modern academic sense, but it is a deeply structured system that uses timing, symbolism, and logic. Its power lies in how accurately it reflects the human experience and the cycles we go through individually and collectively.
